IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING RECITAL SEASON
Calendar Please be sure to be checking the studio calendar on a regular basis during recital season (March through May) for regular updates. Sometimes things have to change due to conflicts and this is the calendar is the first place that the change will be posted at.
The week of dress rehearsal, and if your child is in our Tiny or Mini programs, your child's class may be scheduled on a different day and time so that the students can have their regular class with their teachers and the reheasal all in one week. Be sure to check the calendar.
Costumes Costumes never go out unless we have every class members costume complete. This helps to calm fears that the students my not get one, etc. Your costume package with us is complete. Your professional fittings and alterations are included in your costume package price as well as you tights and any hair or shoe bows that are needed or requested by the teacher. We also steam each and every costume looking for defects and to give it a fresh crisp look as well. The only thing you will need to do is to label each piece with your child's initials or name. This way, if something is left over from rehearsal, then we know who is missing the item.
Your child will also receive information with the costume if there is any special make up or hair design needed for the peformance. If not, then please follow the general hair and makeup information that will be posted here soon.
Recital 1 and Recital 2 So that everyone can enjoy the recital with out people walking out due to it being too long, we do a couple of things. First, we offer classes to families that do not wish to be in the recital. So all of the students you see on the stage are not actually all of our students that take class with us. Second, we break the class down into two recitals. One for the younger student and one for the older students and soloists. be sure you check the calendar to find out which recital your child is placed in. generally, the first recital of the day is younger students in our Tiny and Mini programs, unless they are part of our competitive class or are a soloist or member of a duet. Again, please check our online calendar link, on the first member page of this website, to locate which performance your child is in or if they are in both.

Flowers and Gifts It is very appropriate for young performers to receive flowers and gifts at recital. We will hae tables set up in the loggia of the theater for the gifts to be placed on and picked up from after the recital. We do offer a variety of gifts for your selection as well from our store. Forms are now available at the front desk.
Video and Pictures Parents may video their own children at the dress rehearsal. No video taping of the recital will be allowed .We have hire a professional to video the programs for you and his cameras are the only ones allowedto video tape the recital. We hire a professional so that you will have an excellent dvd of your child's performance for years and years. This is a convenience that we offer our families of the studio. Envelopes for ordering are available at the front counter. Payment is due at the time of ordering. Checks are to not be made to the studio, but to the vendor of the service.
Absolutley no flash photography is allowed at the perfomances. This will actually cause a dancers or tumbler to disorient on the stage and can cause injury especially if they are inverted or spinning. With young children, they may try to run towards the flashes and fall off the stage. PLEASE, if you see some one using flash photography, please remind them so that your child will be safe.
You may use your camera and video camera at dress rehearsal since we will not have the light completely dark. Do not approach the stage (so your yourng child does not try to runtowards you and runs off the stage) with your camera. Please sit no less than five rows back from the stage and use the camera from your seat. We appreciate your cooperation with all of this for your child's safety
Accounts All accounts must be cleared prior to the recital performance. This includes all tuition (except future classes you may have pre-registered for), costumes and extra fees. An account that has not been cleared or arrangements made, can cause a student from being in the performance. Since everyone has worked hard all year for this great show, we do not want to exclude anyone so do get in contact with our office right away about any account situations. Accounts on auto-pay will be posted prior to the performance even if the performance should fall on the posting date.
Inviting Family and Friends Although each student in the recitals will receive 5 complimentary printed invitations, you are welcome to invite as many people as you wish. There is no admission charge to attend the recitals and is open to the public. So feel free to invite your entire family and host of friends if you so wish.
