I started taking dance lessons at the young age of two mainly because my mom was a dance instructor.  Being the tomboy I was, I did not particularly care for the ballet classes, as a matter of fact I did not care for any of the dance classes I was participating in. As I got older, I would try to find ways out of making my dance classes but mom always caught me and made sure I was in attendance. I never fully understood why it was SO IMPORTANT for me to take dance until recently. Now looking back, I am glad my mom pushed so hard for me to maintain my participation in dance and tumble classes through high school.

As I stated earlier, I was a tomboy growing up and participated in every sport you can think of. I especially loved basketball and softball. I went on to play one year of softball in college and was a four year starter in basketball at the collegiate level. Now that I have had time to reflect back on my sports career, I strongly feel that had I not participated in dance and tumbling, I might not have made it as far as I did. I had several strikes against me including my size and the fact that I am an asthmatic.  Dance and tumbling, along with Chiropractic care, kept me healthy throughout my playing career. I developed great core strength, agility, and speed through participating in dance and tumbling. The classes I took also gave me the confidence I needed to succeed.  Looking back now as a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Personal Trainer, I have to give a lot of credit for my success to my mom and her placing the importance of participating in dance and tumble classes. I can see now why it was so important. Dance and tumbling help tremendously with the development of core strength, agility, posture, confidence, overall strength, speed, and the list can go on. I highly recommend that children participate in some form of dance or tumbling whether they are attempting to be the next Michael Jordan or just want to become more fit.  Dance and Tumbling classes are a great place to start!

Miss Mary and the staff at TDCP are top of the line!  I took classes from various studios in Woodward County while growing up, once I joined a TDCP class, I knew that was where I needed to stay.  Mary made each of her students feel welcomed and appreciated.  She also for the first time ever in my dancing career challenged my technique.  If it wasn't for her and her staff I would of never survived in the college level of dance or started my own dance program with out Mary's help!
I will never be able to thank Mary or TDCP enough for all they have helped me with while growing up in Woodward County.

"I love TDCP and everyone there because they are so passionate about their students and "the Arts". Abby is exposed to all kinds of wonderful things. Her options are limitless, therefore allowing her to explore her gifts and talents."

"I just wanted you to know that the show was great and I'm so glad Chloe got to be a part of it! She was so nervous because she's really just not one of those 'natural' performers, but she did good and the dance was just beautiful. Overall, there was so much hard work and talent that we were truly impressed! You can put on a good show and we enjoyed it. I think it must've inspired Chloe a little because she was really dancing around the house last night! Thank you!"

"I believe TDC is a great place to learn as a student and also to have fun. TDC has been my home away from home for 7 years. Ms. Mary is a talented and skillful teacher that has made me the dancer I am today."
